the israelites were enslaved by egypt.
Egypt made them throw their babies into the nile river.
a lady then hid her child in a basket and named it mosses.
moses received 10 commandments from god on mount sinai.
god made an agreement to promise to return the israelites to canaan.
it took 40 years for the Israelites to get back to canaan.
moses died before he got there.
Joshua lead them to canaan.
Joshua led the israelites to jerico.
they marched around the city walker 6 days.
the walls were broken on the 7th day.
after joshua died Israelites wanted leadership from the judges.

they really didn't have to leave canaan they could have fixed the live stock and crops. the judges should be able to be leaders. wouldn't war be against the 10 commandments since murder is against the commandments and war usually has something to do with murder. why didn't they just bust the walls down. hey didn't need to wait 7 days to do something with the wall.
